Since it is too hot to hike in southern Utah, David and I head up Big Cottonwood Canyon east of Salt Lake City for the short hike to Donut Falls. The falls has created a natural bridge (hence the ‘donut’) but it is still only a Class C bridge.

The previous week, a large boulder to the side of the falls had slide and crushed a hiker to death which lent a rather macabre feeling to the location.
