That’s the Spirit!
This time, David and I attempt to climb out of Grand Wash in Capital Reef National Park, to visit the top of Spirit Arch in Shinob Canyon. This turns into a 2.8 mile climb and crawl endurance test. In the end, we don’t make it to the arch.
Back at the parking lot we marvel that we attempted such foolishness and swore never to do it again. However, after thinking about it for a week or two we came up with another plan which will require going back up again.
Oh well. How bad could it be the second time?
