I took Thursday off from work so that David and I could take a quick trip to the family cabin north of Vernal, Utah so we could pick up an old Franklin pot-belly stove that was being replaced by a high efficiency wood stove.

On the way out of Vernal, we stopped briefly along the highway to take a few pictures of a class ‘D’ natural arch we called Highway 40 Arch.

I could then justify (in my mind) taking a day off but not going arch hunting in southern Utah.
