I take my Nissan 4X4 pickup over Elephant Hill in southern Canyonlands National Park. I especially like the area that is so narrow that you are required to back down part of the trail before proceeding forward at the next section. Next time, we hike.
On the way out, we gave a ride to a couple who were camped in Chesler Canyon. They decided to make a quick trip to the Needles Outpost for a few supplies and make it back to their camp before dark. Even with a ride from us, they weren’t going to make it and we suggested they make other plans. They were too enthusiastic to listen. Oh well.
