Saturday, April 28th proved to be a clear Spring day so David and I drove down to the Island-in-the-Sky area of Canyonlands National Park near Moab Utah.

We parked a mile or so south of the Visitor Center and hiked west along the north rim of Taylor Canyon until we could find a natural arch called Broken Bell Arch just below the rim.

After getting back to the vehicle, we left the park and drove towards Deadhorse Point State Park so that we could take the Long Canyon road to the east. At the top of Long Canyon, we searched for several reported natural arches but were not able to locate them.

We decided that we would need to gather more information about these arches and try again another day.
