I identified yet another nice fall day to spend in southern Utah and headed south. I headed for Hanksville Utah and took the dirt roads to the southeast to Cedar Point.

Just to the south of Cedar Point is the overlook into Stair Canyon. By hiking for about a mile south down the canyon wall, I found a good place to launch my drone and fly the mile or so towards Stair Canyon Arch. I really wanted a close up of the arch and it wasn’t likely I was ever going to get a chance to hike to it proper.

I verified that it was a Class ‘B’ sized natural arch and hiked back to my truck again. I wanted to find other overlooks to fly my drone but the wind came up and made that impractical.
