Friday, my brother David and my son Cory (and myself) all loaded up my Ford Explorer and headed south. We stayed overnight in Moab Utah before heading south the next morning to Blanding Utah. We then continued south and then west to Grand Gulch. It took us a while to find the right dirt road we needed to get to the trailhead but we finally found the correct trail with the use of my GPS.
From the trailhead, it was about a three-mile hike to the edge of Grand Gulch where we could look down and see Shaw Arch near the bottom.

It wasn’t a very interesting hike. I think Cory was especially bored but I considered it a ‘Grand’ hike.

And that was really the only goal for the entire trip. So we headed home again.
